Management of Post Prostratectomy Incontinence

This lecture will cover the anatomy and physiology of the male bladder, prostate and urethra. Discussion regarding the management of post prostatectomy urinary incontinence. Differences in incontinence rates between Open prostatectomy, Radical open prostatectomy and Robotic prostatectomy.

Presenter

Pam Doughty has been nursing for 39 years, the majority of this time spent in the Urology Department of Hunter New England Health. She is a hospital/Technical College trained registered nurse and currently works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is currently working towards her Master of Nurse Practitioner and liaising with Nursing management of the John Hunter Hospital to develop a Urology Nurse Practitioner role. She is a Country Representative for the NSW Chapter of the Australia and New Zealand Urology Nurses Society (ANZUNS).
