This presentation is about simple and accessible assessment tools that can be used in a variety of different circumstances within the community setting. It includes suggested tools for initial assessments, developmental delay, balance and co ordination issues until 16 years old and CP presentation from birth to teenager from mild to severe. Assessments covered will include HINE, AIMS, DAYC, QOL, Chailey, Paediatric Berg Balance and the GMFM. The focus of the session will outline how the tool is used what the tool offers and its reliability and validity.

 

Presenter/s

Vathana Sackett has 20+ years of working in paediatrics in Australia and the UK in community and tertiary services. She works at Eastern Health as the Neonate Physiotherapist and at Klint Neuro as the Paediatric Mentor.
