  • Overview

Laura Worthing will present a literature review that was completed with her colleague Karen Crudden on the current evidence for pelvic floor muscle training for managing faecal incontinence. This will consider pelvic floor training alone, Biofeedback (balloon training, EMG, Manometer) and electrical stimulation.

Carolyn Pieri will provide health professionals with a better understanding of when to refer patients for anorectal manometry, and how these assessments are conducted and how to interpret their findings. She will also provide further overview of the nursing management of anorectal disorders.
