  • Overview

Childbirth is a healthy, physiological process that is also often associated with intense pain. What is the role of pain during this normal bodily process? Why is labour pain so variable between women? What can labour pain teach us about other pains? In this talk, Laura will discuss the recent discoveries about labour pain and explore how labour pain may help us better understand other pain experiences. Laura will also cover what physio can do to facilitate women to have positive experiences of pain in childbirth.
