Digital Health 101 is an online microcredential that introduces the fundamentals of digital health, explores cutting-edge innovations, and demonstrates the transformative impact of digital health on health and care services. The microcredential includes five hours of content across seven modules. This course is perfect for anyone working as a physiotherapist with an interest in digital health and the future of healthcare delivery.

Module 1 - Introduction to Digital Health
- Describe the meaning of digital health
- Become aware of the key terminology used in digital health
- Recognise how digital health is relevant to key stakeholders in the sector
Module 2 - Understanding the Environment
- Describe the structure of the current healthcare system (the four tiers of the health landscape, private/public/not-for-profit) and its complexities
- Become aware of the key pressures and competing priorities on the health system
- Recognise the global trends in healthcare and how digital can enable these advances
- Identify the need for change and the core areas for change in healthcare
Module 3 - Opportunities Offered by Digital Health
- Explain the evolution of digital health (four waves/eras of digital health)
- Recognise the primary challenges that have arisen due to the rapid digital progression in healthcare
- Identify the latest advancements in digital health and how these will impact the future of healthcare
- Describe the advancements made to connect services and systems in healthcare
Module 4 - Understanding Data
- Understand the definition of data, types of data, and how data is generated and managed
- Describe how data relates to information, knowledge, and wisdom (DIKW Model)
- Explain how quality data can be achieved through data governance, data standards, and regulation
- Recognise the importance of consumer perspectives and the role of ethics, privacy and security

Module 5 - Business and Service Models are Changing
- Recognise the need to adopt better care models which will enable a consumer-centric approach

- Define the types of change (incremental, transformational, and disruptive)
