An essential element of evidence-based practice is searching to find high-quality research to answer clinical questions.
Despite the importance of searching, just one in three physiotherapists perform a database search each month. Skill is an obstacle to searching. Physiotherapists would probably do more searching if they could increase their competency and efficiency.
This eTalk will develop participant knowledge and skill in searching using the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro; pedro.org.au). The emphasis will be on searching to answer questions about the effects of physiotherapy interventions.
