This module follows on, and extends the learning, from the Build your confidence in disability management course - find it here.
The Build your confidence in paediatric disability management module is designed as an introductory level of clinical education which can be immediately transferred to practice. This module contains foundation knowledge to support physiotherapists who are new to paediatrics or are looking to diversify into paediatric services within the disability sector. The topics include early childhood, assessment, functional goals and intervention, sensory motor development and physiotherapy for autistic children, with links provided to a range of further resources and education.
This would be a valuable starting point for physiotherapists who may be interested in undertaking further learning in paediatric and/or disability physiotherapy.
This project was funded under the Jobs and Market Fund administered by the Department of Social Services.
