High value, evidence-based treatment for shoulder injuries - what do you do when your patient’s progress plateaus, but pain remains. Come and learn from world-leading experts Associate Professor Tania Pizzari PhD and Dr Anne Daly FACP as they work through a challenging case of a worker they have co-managed. Please note that examples of managing a worker will be presented in the context of the Victorian WorkCover scheme.

 

Presenters

Dr Tania Pizzari, APAM, is a physiotherapist and researcher from the La Trobe Sports and Exercise Medicine Research Centre. She has published over 100 articles and book chapters in the area of sports medicine and shoulder injury.  Tania is a member of the Shoulder and Elbow Physiotherapists of Australiasia.

 

Dr Anne Daly, FACP, was awarded the title of Specialist Pain Physiotherapist by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2021, she is also an APA titled musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Anne is the Clinical Lead for Pain and Disability at WorkSafe Victoria and the Clinical Lead for Allied Health at the TAC in Victoria. She also has a small private practice where she works with people with complex pain conditions. Anne has a special interest in the measurement of clinical outcomes and experiences and is a longstanding member of the Clinical and Management Advisory Committee for ePPOC, (the electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration).
