Presenter

Simone Ellis, Maurice Blackburn Senior Associate, joined the firm in 2010, whilst studying law at La Trobe University. Simone worked in Maurice Blackburn’s Superannuation and Insurance department before relocating to their regional Wangaratta office in 2014 to commence her traineeship working in Personal Injury compensation. Simone was admitted to practice in 2015 where she worked as a Lawyer at Maurice Blackburn’s Geelong office before relocating to their Greensborough office in 2021 after having a child.

Since early 2020, Simone has been heavily involved in fighting for the rights of injured construction workers and learning all about machinery, manual labour roles and performing over 100 on-site presentations. Simone is a determined lawyer that takes the time to explain the complex WorkCover system to her clients, to not only educate them and build their confidence navigating the system, but to also alleviate unnecessary stress allowing them to focus solely on what is most important – their recovery.

Simone is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria member, Law Institute of Victoria Mentor Program participant, Maurice Blackburn Women's Network member and Maurice Blackburn Rights and Reconciliation Group member. In her spare time, Simone enjoys creating memories with her family, snuggling with her dog Judge and attending to her chickens Nugget and Spicy.
