The College Knowledge Exchange is a series of presentations delivered by Fellows of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (the College) exclusively for members of the College. Including a presentation (approx. 20min) followed by the opportunity for Q&A and peer-to-peer interaction, the College Knowledge Exchange is a great opportunity to connect with the College network and learn from the experience of your esteemed College peers.

 

Measuring the experience of pain and its proxies using patient reported outcome measures - Dr Anne Daly

  1. This session will provide a brief overview of clinimetrics, illustrated by commonly utilised Patient Reported Outcome Measures, with an emphasis on those used to assess and measure a person's experience of pain.
  2. Resources will be shared to assist clinicians to navigate outcomes measurement.
  3. Patient Reported Experience Measures will be briefly discussed.

 

Presenter

Dr Anne Daly was awarded the title of Specialist Pain Physiotherapist by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2021, she is also an APA titled musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Anne is the Clinical Lead for Pain and Disability at WorkSafe Victoria and the Clinical Lead for Allied Health at the TAC in Victoria. She also has a small private practice where she works with people with complex pain conditions. Anne has a special interest in the measurement of clinical outcomes and experiences and is a longstanding member of the Clinical and Management Advisory Committee for ePPOC, (the electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration).
