For those with minimal aquatic physio experience, the concept of managing patients in a hydrotherapy pool may seem quite daunting. What should I expect? What should I do? What do I look for to avoid anything going wrong? Why can't patients just be managed on land? A panel of physiotherapists with extensive aquatic physio experience from various backgrounds (including musculoskeletal, neurology, and paediatrics) have been invited to share their knowledge and wisdom, and answer questions that you may have. We aim for as many physios as possible to "take the plunge" into aquatic physio with confidence, rather than feeling "in too deep."
