Physiotherapists develop abilities far beyond their practical and clinical skills. This session will explore avenues available to practitioners interested in transferring often hidden skills into leadership avenues such as Governance, Corporate Business, Research, Compliance and Education.
Many organisations and institutions are calling out for diverse talent for those with an interest or experience in a range of areas. This may be worth consideration by practitioners who have owned/managed practices or run departments, or simply have an interest in a particular field. It may also appeal to those feeling burnt out or needing additional challenges to their career.
There are many opportunities outside of clinical work that may be worth considering, and may also be advantageous to the physiotherapy industry in areas of advocacy, research, education as well as industry retention and progression.
