In this seminar, physiotherapists will explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in practice, with a focus on practical application and legal compliance. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the current legal landscape, empowering them to confidentially integrate AI into their clinical practice, whilst ensuring adherence to key regulatory frameworks - incl privacy laws, AHPRA obligations, Medicare requirements and other relevant Aust legislation.

 

Presenter

Azmeena Hussain, OAM, is a Principal at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and has over 15 years of experience advocating for ordinary Australians. She has provided advice to the Victorian Statutory WorkCover Advisory and is listed in the prestigious Doyle’s Guide as a preeminent Australian Personal Injuries lawyer. She is also a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in personal injury law. She has a particular interest in the intersection of health practitioners and the law and working with practitioners to advance positive outcomes for patients and clients. She works closely with peak allied health organisations APA, AHTA and OTA on legal advice, education and policy. She was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 2019 for her contributions to the community and the law.
