This 2-hour Masterclass includes an introduction to bladder and bowel anatomy, neuroanatomy and physiology; testing for neurogenic bladder and bowel; and implications for patients with conditions such as Motor Neuron Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Spinal Cord Injury. This is a recording of a live virtual Masterclass which occurred on 17/10/2020.

Presenter

Carina Siracusa  

Carina Siracusa, PT, DPT, WCS, OnCS has been a physiotherapist since 2005. She graduated from Ohio University in 2005 with her doctorate of physical therapy. She started her career as a pediatric physio but soon fell in love with the specialty of pelvic floor physiotherapy. She currently works for a large hospital system in Columbus, Ohio called OhioHealth. She is the primary pelvic floor physiotherapist for the neuro program as well as the transgender health program. She has taught for the American Physical Therapy Association's Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapists since 2010 in their pelvic health curriculum. She has developed courses in both pediatric pelvic health as well as pelvic health for the neurologically involved client and has been teaching these for the last several years. She holds board certifications in both women's health physiotherapy as well as oncology physiotherapy.
