Originally from the UK, Dr Hope studied medicine at Edinburgh University where he also gained his Orthopaedic & Trauma Fellowship. After moving to Queensland he also passed his Australian Fellowship exams. In 2018 he became Chair of the RACS Trauma Committee and sits on the national Trauma Committee. Dr Hope is a highly qualified and skilled specialist in adult and paediatric orthopaedic surgery, specialising in foot and ankle surgery. He was the first surgeon in Australia to implant a titanium 3D-printed talus (ankle bone). Dr Hope has gained a reputation as an expert in the field and regularly receives tertiary referrals from interstate and abroad. Treating Trauma patients is a passion for Dr Hope, and his expertise sees him treating local and national sportsmen and women.
