This plan presents a ‘scaffold’ to help you to deepen your understanding of Aboriginal cultural values, beliefs and practices. It consists of five self directed learning modules:

• Culture, self and diversity
• Aboriginal history
• Working with Aboriginal people
• Providing clinical services
• Improving cultural security

The plan is accompanied by learning activities, quizzes and a professional development plan, designed to assist you to reflect on each completed module whilst promoting opportunities for further learning. It does NOT replace local cultural orientation and education programs. It is a plan to help you to identify your ongoing professional development needs to enhance your delivery culturally appropriate health services.
