Dr Henry Wajswelner,
FACP Specialist Sports Physiotherapist (2007), Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. Henry has 35 years experience as a sports physiotherapist, including holding positions at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra and Olympic Park Sports Medical Centre. He was the physiotherapist for the Australian Olympic Team, attending many World Championships events.
Henry was National Chairman of Sports Physiotherapy Australia for four years, and helped develop the new APA specialisation framework. Henry coordinates the Master of Sports Physiotherapy Course at La Trobe University where he is a senior lecturer. Henry is an APA Specialist Sports Physiotherapist having passed the Australian College of Physiotherapy exam in 2007, being one of the first Sports Physiotherapists in Australia to achieve a Fellowship. Henry’s clinical focus is on the Thoracic Spine and his current research involves the role of exercise and pilates in the management of chronic back pain, posture and hip tendinopathy.
Henry currently works clinically in private practice at Clifton Hill Pilates and Rehab in Melbourne. Henry holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) a Master of Physiotherapy (Research) and a Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He is also Doctor of Clinical Physiotherapy (Melb). Henry is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapy and an APA Sports and Musculoskeletal Titleholder.
