Physio-Chi - Managing modern health conditions with an ancient art Tai Chi, what does the evidence tell us?

Come along to this 30 minute lecture followed by an hour & half workshop where participants learn the evidence for Tai Chi, and then learn the 13 movement copyright Physio-Chi White form. The science and evidence behind the ancient art of Tai Chi , and the clinical application of Tai Chi addressing modern chronic health issues will be discussed. A practical workshop will follow where participants will learn one of the mindfulness Physio-Chi forms to teach their clients. The Physio-Chi set of movements taught will assist in achieving clients goals in an evidence based exercise, with proven rehabilitation for chronic LBP, MSK pain, improving balance and strength with barriers removed. The Physio-Chi form can be taught one on one, in groups, on fitballs, seated or in a hydrotherapy session.

Presenter

Jenny Lucy, APAM, is currently the ex officio on WA ADNG as past Chair and ex officio on National ADNG Committee as past Chair, and has held a registered physiotherapy acupuncture qualification in New Zealand since 1998. Jenny is resident and practicing in Northam WA. Jenny practices using muscle balancing trigenics, rehabilitative exercising, acupuncture and dry needling with all of her clients. Jenny is a tutor on the WA APA Dry Needling Course, and is a tutor on the WA Integrative Acupuncture Training course 2022. Jenny was on an expert panel, MyJoint Tai Chi Research Group - UniMelb in 2023.
