  • Overview

Join us for a comprehensive presentation which delves into the principles that underpin translating research into practice (TRIP). With experts Dr Ashley Cameron and Dr Nina Meloncelli covering the theoretical concepts and clinician Gemma Allinson sharing her own TRIP experiences, this insightful presentation is sure to have take-home messages for attendees in the public, private and community domain. Throughout the 60-minute period we will strive to provide information around what TRIP is, theoretical TRIP frameworks, the benefits of using a TRIP model, TRIP gone wrong and important lessons learnt through a real-life project that focused on implementing the National Stroke Guidelines in a tertiary hospital.

Nina is also a current recipient of a Queensland Advancing Clinical Research Fellowship which has allowed her to focus her research efforts on a novel approach to preventing gestational diabetes in women who have previously experienced this common pregnancy disorder. Phase one of this program of research has focused on co-designing the dietary intervention in alongside women with a lived experience of gestational diabetes, a rewarding experience focused on partnership and producing research that matters to mothers.
