Unlimited Care and Support - A new way forward in practice

Do patients who suffer chronically actually need more treatment? Many hopefully need the confidence and reassurance to be more active and in addition, be monitored to do what they need to do safely. More than ever, patients with chronic disease are uncertain and need regular support especially when things don’t go smoothly. Current funding models do not allow us to provide the care we should. Perhaps, that shouldn’t stop us. Unlimited care programs may be just one possibility.

		Errol Lim is the managing director of BJC Health, a rheumatology centre located in Sydney. His career was sports focused since becoming a physio in 1998 but his specific interest now lies in the integration of rheumatic disease care having commenced work with rheumatologists in 2004
