Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Level 1 - Course summary

Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Level 1 is a wholly virtual course comprising an online self-paced component Part A, followed by a live virtual classroom Part B. It covers a range of cardiorespiratory skills in managing clientele across the continuum of care.

The course is ideal for recent graduates, physiotherapists moving into this practice area or experienced physiotherapists wishing to complete CPD in cardiorespiratory practice.

Part B - live virtual session

This live virtual session is Part B of the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Level 1 course. You must attend a live virtual session in order to complete the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Level 1 course.

This live virtual session is scheduled to start at 5.30pm AEDT (SA – 5.00pm; NT – 4.00pm; QLD – 4.30pm; WA – 2.30pm)

Learning Outcomes

On completion of Part B, participants will be able to:

• Integrate assessment findings and theoretical knowledge to identify and prioritise key problems in individuals with different cardiorespiratory conditions
• Use evidence-based clinical decision-making processes to develop a comprehensive treatment plan
• Evaluate the performance of selected treatment techniques in cardiorespiratory conditions in various clinical settings
• Identify indicators of clinical improvement and deterioration to modify physiotherapy intervention including appropriate escalation of care and emergency management
• Describe the holistic care needs of individuals with cardiorespiratory conditions across the continuum of care
