Overview

Dr Joann Rotherham is the medical director of the Acute Pain Service at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr Rotherham will discuss the principles of pain management following blunt chest trauma, including an overview of the hospital's clinical pathway for pain management.

Joanna Lane is a Senior Trauma Physiotherapist at Gold Coast University Hospital. Prior to this she was acting Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in trauma at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and has 8 years of experience working with trauma patients. Joanna completed a Masters of Traumatology at Newcastle University in 2017. Joanna will discuss the principles of physiotherapy management following blunt chest trauma, as well as her experiences with different models of care in a physiotherapy trauma service.
