This lecture focuses on differential diagnoses of lower limb pain including medial tibial stress syndrome, popliteal artery entrapment syndrome and chronic exertional compartment syndrome. It aims to give you the insight to assess, diagnose and differentiate between these elusive conditions more accurately.

 

Presenter

Dr. Viran De Silva is a Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician who deals in the assessment, prevention and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and exercise related problems. He completed his specialist training through the Australasian College of Sports Physicians in 2018. He is originally from Darwin and has worked around Australia before setting on a career in Sports Medicine which has seen him work in high performance sport including with National Teams and as a doctor at the Paralympics. He loves seeing the positive influence a sports physician can have on an individual’s pain, functionality and overall wellbeing and seeing patients return to doing what they love.
