In this online lecture Jamie will talk about his journey to working in private practice and his pathway to becoming a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, along with some advice for junior physios who may be interested in pursuing a similar path!
Jamie Chan, MACP, completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 2014, having previously completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine. He has worked in private practice in Melbourne and Ballarat for 10 years treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries, has worked in a rural hospital setting and has taught a variety of exercise classes over this time. Recently, Jamie has developed a particular interest in treating persistent and complex pain conditions, spinal pain, headaches and jaw-related issues. With a love of lifelong learning, Jamie has recently completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, becoming a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. He regularly runs tutorials for other physiotherapists at the clinic and coordinates final-year physiotherapy student placements. When his professional hat isn't being worn, he is loving the tumultuous journey of parenting his two kids with his wife and attempts to maintain some good work-life balance throughout all of this.
