This online lecture will explore all things pain self-efficacy. We will provide an overview of what pain self-efficacy is and explore the different factors that contribute to it, including what can contribute to good pain self-efficacy and what can contribute to poor pain self-efficacy. We will discuss how physios can measure pain self-efficacy and why this is important. We will then explore practical skills and strategies that physios can use in clinical practice to improve someone's confidence to manage and cope with their pain, including patient-led goal setting.
