Webinar Series: Physios in the Workplace – Injury Prevention and Management Onsite
Body stressing injuries are the most common type of compensable workplace injury and physiotherapists often plays a fundamental role in managing these injuries and helping people get back to doing what they love. However, there is great opportunity for physios to influence prevention of these injuries and support workplaces to be safer and healthier for all. In this series of webinars, we will help you make sense of the WHS requirements for managing manual tasks, explore some different assessment tools to better understand job and task demands, and teach you how to implement effective control measures to reduce injuries and improve safety culture in the worksites you support. Evidence suggests this leads to stronger safety performance, lower costs, and most importantly, improved health outcomes for workers. Our final sessions will explore resources, tips and supports offered through ReturnToWorkSA to support you to provide optimal care to your patients in their recovery and return to work after injury.
