  • Overview

This 60 minute webinar aims to equip new graduates with the knowledge and understanding of how to best transition into the private practice field and lay a strong foundation for a long and fulfilling career. The first 45 minutes will cover common concerns that the speakers have noticed new graduates encounter throughout their years working in private practice. Topics include:

  1. What is “normal” as a new graduate (Stress levels, what to expect in consultations, and what to expect from educators and mentors)
  2. Questions new graduates should ask about a workplace
  3. Typical career progression and professional development
  4. Managing self-expectations and stress
  5. What to do if your current situation or workplace is not ideal
  6. Practical strategies on work-life balance and efficiency
  7. Insights into clinic ownership

The last 15 minutes will then consist of a Question and Answer section, with the focus of creating a safe space for new graduates to ask any questions they have, including questions they might be afraid to ask their employers.

In 2025, they rebranded as Physio Club, a name that reflects their mission to combine expert care with a people-first approach.

Jana Condoleon, APAM, is a Senior Physiotherapist practising at Physio Club Sutherland. She developed an interest in physiotherapy through her background in soccer and netball, as well as her own experiences with injury, which inspired her to pursue a career combining sport, movement, and helping others recover. Clinically, Jana has a strong interest in head and neck conditions, including headache, neck pain, vestibular disorders, and concussion. She is a registered Complete Concussion Management Inc. (CCMI) practitioner and regularly assesses and manages patients with concussion as part of a multidisciplinary approach. Jana is passionate about education, both for her patients and for other physiotherapists. She particularly enjoys supporting early-career clinicians to build confidence in assessing and managing complex head and neck presentations.
