  • Overview

Whole-person approaches for managing Long COVID in both primary care and private settings will be explored, offering physiotherapists practical strategies for comprehensive patient care. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the key clinical presentations, including Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM), along with the necessary screening techniques and strategies for accommodating these conditions within physiotherapy practice. Integration of biopsychosocial factors in the management of fatigue and multi-system symptoms will be emphasised. The session will also address the acute management of COVID-19, including early referral pathways and rehabilitation approaches aimed at minimising the risk of developing Long COVID.
