While we understand that strength training is important for overall health, and with the increase in females participating in heavy and strenuous weightlifting exercise, research and information is lacking on where and how pelvic floor health (or dysfunction) fit into this type of activity.
This session will focus on what research we have to date on pelvic floor health in females who lift heavy weight, as well as a discussion around practical tips we can implement to help with pelvic floor support during strength training.
