This e-talk describes the process that was undertaken at a large metropolitan health service, to conduct a gap analysis against the World Guidelines for Falls Prevention and Management and take action to address any gaps identified. Learnings will be able to be adapted to any relevant workplace.
Melanie Haley, MACP, is an APA titled Gerontological Physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience in various public health settings. She currently works as a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist - Aged and Complex Care, for Eastern Health in Melbourne. Melanie has an interest in falls prevention and is the current chair of the Safer Care Victoria Hip Fracture Community of Practice. Melanie's other clinical and research areas of interest include frailty and delirium.
