This presentation will provide an understanding of how neurological conditions can impact bladder, bowel, and sexual function. It covers the key assessment tools and outcome measures used to identify issues in these areas, and explores a range of practical, evidence-based strategies and tools available to support management. The aim is to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and confidence to provide effective, person-centered care.

 

Presenters

Megan Bergman, APAM, is a physiotherapist with almost 30 years experience in private musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy as well as over 10 years in pelvic health working with all genders and ages. She has worked with patients with varying neurological conditions to manage their pelvic health in the private practice and community sector. She is passionate about empowering her patients to take control of their pelvic health through education and holistic management.

 

Catherine Hayden, APAM, has had a keen interest in pelvic health physiotherapy for 15 years and works with both women and children. She has worked in a variety of public and private settings in NSW and QLD and enjoys taking a whole person approach to help patients achieve their goals.
