This lecture will explore child and family-centred goal setting in allied health interventions, drawing on current research and real-world clinical examples. Aisling will share practical tools and strategies to help therapists actively involve children and families in the goal-setting process, supporting the development of meaningful, collaborative goals that enhance engagement and outcomes. The session will also address common challenges faced by therapists, such as balancing clinical priorities with family preferences, setting goals with children of varying ages and abilities, and navigating complex family dynamics.
