Michael Vadiveloo, FACP Specialist Sports Physiotherapist

 

The expert clinician examines the relationships and differential diagnosis of a patient presenting with lumbar spine and hip pain co-existing with anterior and posterior pelvic pain. An evidence informed rehab and management plan is discussed and specific exercises demonstrated.

Michael Vadiveloo, FACP Specialist Sports Physiotherapist – sub speciality knee (2009), Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists Michael has over 30 years experience as a physiotherapist. He has established four private practices in Melbourne and he is currently working from City Baths Spinal & Sports Medicine Clinic and Energize Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates in Oakleigh.

Michael has a degree in Human Movement Studies as well as Physiotherapy and he completed his Specialisation in Sports Physiotherapy in 2009 with a specific area of interest in the lower limb, primarily the knee. Michael lectures both locally and internationally on this topic, including the rehabilitation of the lower limb after injury.

Michael has extensive experience in elite sport, initially as a professional NBL player and then as the physiotherapist at St.Kilda Football Club from 1991 to 2005. He has travelled extensively with representative teams including Australia (International Rules vs Ireland 2003, 2004, 2005), the Dream Team (vs Victoria 2008) and the Indigenous All Stars (vs Adelaide Crows 2009).
